Egyptian authorities have banned kites following demands made by an MP that they pose a threat to national security. Khaled Abu Tlaib told the government that small cameras could be attached to them and then be used to photograph military and police institutions. The demands were ridiculed online, but the ban implemented several days later. A post on the Alexandria Governorate Facebook page said that kites had been banned on the Corniche to “preserve the safety of citizens after a number of incidents occurred.” READ: Joe Biden hits out at Egypt for pursuit of activists The post said that the fine would […]

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer issued an executive order on Friday stating businesses “must” deny service to patrons not wearing a mask, and now a number of sheriffs are refusing to enforce the edict. Van Buren County Sheriff Dan Abbott says his department won’t be enforcing Gov. Whitmer’s new mask mandate. The executive order, which states business “must” deny service to patrons who aren’t wearing a mask, comes with a $500 misdemeanor. Abbott told Fox 17 he believes the order is “very bland,” and that it would be “very hard to enforce.” He said his department will respond if a business complains, but […]
The rise of mobile daytraders has been a global phenomenon during the pandemic. From the US to Europe to China to India, pajama traders swinging stock and options positions from their smartphones steadily increased as global central banks printed trillions of dollars and ignited a historic rally in world stocks. Central bank balance sheets expanded rapidly as pandemic began. World stocks drop on the pandemic, but V-shaped recovered as central banks unleashed trillions of dollar into global markets. Earlier, the US Secretary of State labeled Beijing’s territorial claims to the waters and an exclusive economic zone beyond the 12-nautical mile (22 kilometres) around the Spratly Islands group in the South China Sea as “unlawful”, outlining that the United States does not accept the terms. The former US national security adviser, John Bolton, praised in a tweet Washington’s move to decline Beijing’s maritime claims in the South China Sea, urging to “move beyond freedom of navigation exercises to oppose China’s coercive behavior in the region”. The former Trump appointee stressed that “this is not a Chinese provence and will not […]
Libya’s High Council of State, which advises the internationally-recognised Government of National Accord (GNA), re-elected Khaled Al-Mishri as its head for a third term yesterday. Al-Mishri received 73 votes in an election in which he competed with five other candidates. Out of the council’s 135 members, 132 participated in the ballot. The official was first elected in April 2018 to head the council’s first round and he was re-elected in April 2019. Now that the woke mob has forced the Washington Redskins to change their nearly 90-year-old name. The cancel culture is now setting its sights on the Texas Rangers. After taking years of leftist’s slings and arrows looking to destroy the Redskins, the team has finally caved in and announced that their noble name is no more. Team Owner Dan Snyder put out a message oddly saying that they will choose a new name to support the team’s “proud tradition.” But the left never rests, and already some are eyeing the next pro-sports team to topple. WASHINGTON — As a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot closes in on a target, she fires four GPS-guided bombs. As the weapons swarm toward their destination, sharing information about their surroundings, one of the munitions sights a higher-priority target nearby. Instantly, the game plan changes — the bombs’ programming now directs two of the weapons toward the high-priority target, while the rest carry out the original strike. That scenario is similar to one the Air Force Research Laboratory plans to test this year using a Collaborative Small Diameter Bomb, one of the two munitions the Air Force is developing in the […]

Authored by Bruce Wilds via Advancing Time blog, As time goes by covid-19 has proven not to be the hammer or tsunami we feared. It has not taken the large number of lives many experts predicted but it has brought the economy to its knees. It now seems covid-19 is just a deadly bug that will probably with us for some time. Not only has it spread slower than we were told it would but the fatality rate is far lower than many “experts” predicted. Still, this inconsistent beast holds society confused and paralyzed with fear. The article below is an […]

You might be wondering what the difference between a VPN router and a regular router is. It’s surprisingly simple. Whereas with a regular router you would have to connect to VPN manually on all of your devices, a VPN router automatically encrypts and protects all of the devices connected to it. This gives you a little more security, which is important if you’re working from home. You don’t want to be the target of a spear phishing attack, among other things. While this set-it-and-forget-it security method is great, you still need to decide which router is best for you. We’ve rounded […]

The irreconcilable tension within Zionism has been laid bare once again by prominent columnist and commentator Peter Beinart. For a number of years, the 49-year-old has had the status of America’s pre-eminent liberal Zionist intellectual. His trenchant essays and books buttressed the hope of liberal Jews in the possibility of rescuing the Zionist State of Israel from its very illiberal instincts. Though Israel’s decades-long takeover of Palestine has been a constant source of shame and a test of faith, liberal Zionists, exhibiting clear signs of cognitive dissonance, still back the ethnic state. They hold to the possibility of, at the very […]

Israel and the United States are developing a shared strategy aimed at taking out senior Iranian military figures and slowing down Iran’s nuclear program, US officials have revealed to the New York Times. Following the explosion at the Iranian city of Natanz on 2 July, in which a nuclear facility was severely damaged, as well as a series of other explosions within that same week, it was revealed by the NYT that Israel was behind the attacks. Iran then denied, however, that Israel’s cyberattack was the cause of the explosion, despite the former Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman having accused the chief of Israeli intelligence agency Mossad of leaking the […]

WASHINGTON – The amphibious assault ship Bonhomme Richard, which burned through the night while in port in San Diego, was at the tail end of two years of upgrades supporting the integration of the F-35B, according to Navy documents, meaning the Navy will now have fewer options to deploy the next-generation fighter in the Pacific. The Navy awarded the $219 million modernization contract to General Dynamics, National Steel and Shipbuilding Co. in 2018, which had options for up to $250 million. Authored by Richard Ebeling via The American Institute for Economic Research, One of the new fashionable phrases has become “cancel culture,” the idea that ideas, institutions, and people of the present as well of the past must be overturned and dethroned from legitimacy and acceptance in society, so as to expunge the injustices, cruelties, and insensitivities existing in current life and lingering over from history. The question is: what exactly is the culture in America that is to be cancelled? Elements of the “cancel culture” mindset and movement have been seen in the tearing down of statues, demands for removing from […]

(Natural News) Yet another study published by Yale University makes the claim that the actual death toll of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) is being “substantially undercounted.” Published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine, the paper alleges that the number of deaths associated with the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States is far higher than what the data shows, this supposedly being proven by the number of so-called “excess” deaths that have occurred this year compared to last. Because more people are said to be dying in 2020 compared to 2019, in other words, Yale’s top experts are attributing all of […]

Authored by Michael Snyder via TheMostImportantNews.com, Over the past several months, there has been a tremendous amount of debate about almost every aspect of the COVID-19 pandemic. People have been eager to debate about the severity of the virus, they have been eager to debate about the wisdom of the lockdowns, and they have been eager to debate about the effectiveness of wearing masks. Apparently Pope Francis, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church, is “very distressed” by the decision to revert the Byzantine-era Hagia Sophia into a mosque; it has been a museum since 1934. He made his views known in the latest edition of the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano. Quite why he and a whole host of other voices of faith and no faith from various quarters around the world are distressed is beyond me. I imagine the Hagia Sophia, originally built as a cathedral serving the Christian Byzantine Empire, will continue to be a major tourist draw for visitors heading to Istanbul […]
The program would review federal programs and presidential budget requests to “identify ongoing inequities in communities of color and historically marginalized communities,” she wrote. “The panel would also look for new opportunities in our 12 annual appropriations bills to direct resources towards communities that have suffered the deepest historical inequities and injustices.“ The plan comes as Wasserman Schultz competes against Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), a more senior appropriator, to replace retiring Chair Nita Lowey (D-N.Y.). Ethereum developers are aspiring to launch Eth 2.0 in 2020. But that doesn’t mean all the technical details have been spelled out yet. The sum of account balances maintained by the network’s nodes – called the state – continues to grow larger and larger as applications and projects transact. Adoption is good, but runaway growth is bad. Independent developer Alexey Akhunov may have a solution – one pulled from Cosmos, the interoperability blockchain. His new proposal, dubbed “ReGenesis,” posted on EthResearch on June 24, would bring stateless client research to the current Ethereum chain (also known as Eth 1.x) by “nuking” […]
Violent leftists take the 3rd Police Precinct in Minneapolis in late May. More than 150 Minneapolis police officers filed claims this month claiming PTSD after the street attacks last month following the death of George Floyd. The Minneapolis officers feared they would be beaten to death by the violent leftist mobs that looted, vandalized and burned over 1,500 buildings in the city and hundreds of businesses. “While law enforcement is a high-stress career, the last two months in Minneapolis have pushed many officers to their breaking point,” Meuser said… Among Meuser’s clients are officers who were inside the city’s 3rd Precinct […]

After being criticized for posting a number of anti-Semitic messages on Instagram, Philadelphia Eagles player DeSean Jackson has accepted an invitation from a Holocaust survivor to visit former Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz. The Eagles wide receiver was called on the carpet last Monday evening for having posted anti-Jewish quotes he thought were made by Nazi leader Adolph Hitler, as well as messages from notorious anti-Semite Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. After nearly five days, his team finally decided to punish him with a fine, but no other actions were taken, according to reports. Jackson apologized for the posts and has […]
Soaring coronavirus cases? Bullish. Record number of unemployed? Bullish. Biden winning the presidential election on November 3, undoing Trump’s tax reform and hiking corporate taxes from 21% to 28%, resulting in a huge hit to corporate aftertax income? After Goldman revealed one month ago that its clients were losing sleep over the possibility of a Democratic sweep in November – one which Goldman calculated would wipe out 20 EPS from the S&P in 2021… … it took a lengthy refutation from Morgan Stanley to mute Goldman’s skepticism, and to convince investors that a Biden victory would also be Bullish for stocks. In the course of government briefings, the director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has several times contradicted remarks made by US President Donald Trump on the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, leading to reports from mainstream media that the two were involved in a rift. The White House denied reports that the country’s top disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, has been sidelined by the Trump administration. Several news outlets recently claimed that the White House had prepared a list of comments made by Fauci about the coronavirus pandemic in the US as a means of detailing times […]

WASHINGTON — Energy and water appropriators would block funding sought by the Trump administration to develop a new submarine-launched nuclear warhead design, known as the W93. The members of the House Energy and Water Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee voted in favor of language saying that “no funding” may be used on the new warhead design, which the Pentagon hopes to have fielded by 2040. The language was adopted as part of the overall bill that passed by a 30-21 vote Monday. The peculiar consequences that result from government intervention are similar in all areas of economic and social life. Problems such as indifference, evaporating solidarity, irresponsibility, and short-term thinking are more than often caused or exacerbated by—sometimes well-intentioned—government interventions. This holds true for interventions in the financial world and in business, and it is no different with family policy. To make this clear, we first want to make a few comments about the economics of the family and then explain how state intervention tends to destroy families from within. A Power Plant without Equal According to the Christian definition, the family is […]

Democrats want to extend benefits. Republicans, led by Trump seek a back-to work bonus. Fox News comments Here’s what Trump’s back-to-work bonus could look like Republicans are resisting an extension of the $600 expanded unemployment benefit implemented as part of the CARES Act in March, and the Trump administration has instead pushed a so-called “back-to-work bonus.” Ohio Republican Sen. In the 18-to-25 age group, 32% of the total study population were medically vulnerable for severe Covid-19, and smoking was a large factor, researchers found. (CNN) One in three young adults is at risk of severe Covid-19, and smoking plays a big part in that risk, according to new research published Monday in the Journal of Adolescent Health. Researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, looked at more than 8,000 participants ages 18 to 25 who had participated in the National Health Interview Survey to see what their medical vulnerability to severe Covid-19 was in relation to risk indicators that […]

The team is currently under mandatory quarantine, the WHO’s Mike Ryan said at a press briefing on Monday. After their isolation period ends, the investigators will begin their work alongside their Chinese colleagues. The WHO has previously said its team will focus only on uncovering the “zoonotic source” of the disease. The decision to send a special team to Wuhan, believed to be the source of the […]
(Natural News) The State of California is now less than 90 days away from a financial collapse that can only be averted by acquiring new sources of loans or dramatically slashing government-funded services in health care, pensions, welfare and education. The cracks of financial insolvency are starting to show, and Newsom has no plan that doesn’t lead California into anarchy and destitution. In a desperate effort to delay the financial collapse, Newsom has ordered the state’s EDD to delay unemployment checks for as many months as it takes to preserve the state’s rapidly-dwindling funds. The Mercury News reports that nearly 2 […]

China lashed out Monday against the US, calling the nation the “true global headquarters of hackers” after White House adviser Peter Navarro reiterated unsubstantiated claims over the weekend that TikTok user data is sent to the Chinese military. Touching on a variety of anti-China angles, Navarro reiterated claims during a Fox Business interview on Sunday that user data collected by TikTok “goes right to servers in China, right to the Chinese military, the Chinese Communist Party.” The adviser also stated that TikTok, which is owned by Beijing-based company ByteDance, and similar Chinese apps can be used to “steal personal and financial […]
People might debate whether The Old Guard is a superhero movie, what with its blessed existence outside the Marvel-DC dick-measuring contest and not a swatch of spandex to be found. To me, the film is as if the Avengers and the Justice League met up with the Fantastic Four and teamed up with the X-Men. It did the thing the superheroes movies are supposed to do—present a world where the best among us fight for what’s right—but which none had done before: present a world that feels like my own. The first time it’s acknowledged that the characters Joe (Marwan Kenzari) […]

A score of 100 indicates it is the maximum number of searches observed for a term during a given time frame. The increased retail interest in the project could be attributed to the link token’s recent meteoric price rally. The […]

Bangladesh police said on Monday they have arrested three men over the trafficking of hundreds of young women taken to Dubai on the promise of jobs in hotels and then forced into sex work. The victims were paid a month’s salary upfront and told they would work as housekeepers or dancers. Among the three arrested was a man suspected to be the group’s leader, who had been in hiding in Bangladesh since being deported from Dubai earlier this year. He […]
After radio host Mark Levin criticized the “police-state tactics” of the Obama Administration in its use of intercepts and FISA warrants in 2017, editors on Wikipedia began to attack Levin’s credibility through edits to his page on the site. The criticism, which allegedly prompted President Donald Trump’s controversial wire-tapping allegations, has since been vindicated by revelations about widespread falsehoods in FISA warrants issued against Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, seen now as part of a broader Obamagate scandal. A number of attacks on Levin eventually ended up in news articles shortly before and after the premiere of his show on Fox […]
In an almost verbatim repeat of what the new head of the NY Fed’s Markets Group (aka the de facto head of the Plunge Protection Team), Daleep Singh said last week, when discussing the Fed’s purchases of corporate bonds and ETFs, saying that “If market conditions continue to improve, Fed purchases could slow further, potentially reaching very low levels or stopping entirely”, moments ago Dallas Fed President (and FOMC voter) Robert Kaplan said emergency lending facilities launched by the central bank were necessary to support market function, but they won’t be left in place indefinitely. “A number of those actions were […]
Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest in 2019 prompted speculation that powerful people would fall, as many politicians and celebrities flew on the plane where the financier is said to have abused dozens of girls. Epstein didn’t appear in court, as he killed himself awaiting trial. According to rumours, Maxwell, his alleged accomplice, risks repeating his fate. The International Monetary Fund urged Lebanese authorities on Monday to unite around a government rescue plan and warned that attempts to lower losses from the financial crisis could only delay recovery. The government’s rescue plan has served as the cornerstone of talks with the IMF and maps out massive losses in the financial system. The talks have been bogged down by a row over the scale of financial losses that have embroiled the government, the central bank, commercial banks, and lawmakers from Lebanon’s main political parties. “It is very important that the authorities unite around the government plan. From our side, […]
But the president’s reelection campaign has been aggressive in races where Trump has explicitly endorsed one candidate over the other, even as some of his endorsed candidates have fallen short in recent nominating contests. “Your campaign mailer is misleading. In it, you repeatedly reference President Trump by name, refer to yourself as ‘the pro-Trump conservative’ in the race, and even include a photograph designed to appear as if the President is approvingly pointing in your direction,” Trump campaign strategist Michael S. Glassner wrote in the letter. By sending the letter, Trump has waded further into a Republican congressional runoff for a […]
White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow on Monday doubled down on his suggestion that the United States economy is still in a “V-shaped recovery” from the devastating impact of the coronavirus shutdown. Kudlow maintained on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom” that despite surges of coronavirus cases in certain areas and some major businesses laying off employees, he does not “see an interruption” to the v-shaped recovery. “I know you have some of these isolated cases of layoffs, and that’s most regrettable — there is still hard hardship out there,” Kudlow outlined. “The numbers are still too high regarding unemployment. That said, in […]

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly both recently denied that the Federal Reserve’s policies create economic inequality. Unfortunately for Powell, Daly, and other Fed promoters, a cursory look at the Fed’s operations shows that the central bank is the leading cause of economic inequality. The Federal Reserve manipulates the money supply by buying and selling government securities. This means that when the Fed decides to pump money into the economy, it does so by putting it in the pockets of wealthy, and oftentimes politically-connected, investors who are able to spend the new money before the […]

(Natural News) Regardless of what George Floyd did in his past, he didn’t deserve to have the life choked out of him on a dingy, dirty Minneapolis street earlier this year, and the fact is, the vast majority of Americans agree with that. And most Americans could understand the anger and outrage expressed in the form of protests — legitimate, peaceful protests — following his death. But now, months after the incident, it’s become clear that the continuing riots and violence, along with the desecration and destruction of monuments around the country, have nothing to do with honoring or ‘seeking justice’ […]

Television just kicked the craziness up a notch: As various productions resume, mannequins are now being used for crowd shots and even, in at least one case, sex scenes. News media such as CNN may have pushed former Vice President Joe Biden and the Democrat Party beyond the American electorate’s tolerance of leftism, assessed Joel B. WASHINGTON ― Fired-up House appropriators are expected to vote Tuesday to reject the Pentagon’s requests for added budget flexibility over the President Donald Trump’s diversion of military funds to build his promised U.S.-Mexico border wall. In a sign of fraying relations between the Department of Defense and Capitol Hill, the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee ― chaired by Indiana Democrat Rep. Pete Visclosky ― “condemned” the Pentagon’s past approvals of nearly $10 billion over two years toward the border wall, saying it had fueled the panel’s growing skepticism over the department’s budget requests. “The granting of additional budget flexibility to the Department […]
