One of the clearest examples of how the military wants to defeat adversaries using information warfare is by publicly disclosing what those enemies have been doing and what capabilities they have. Information warfare can be abstract, combining cyber, intelligence, electronic warfare, information operations, psychological operations or military deception as a way to influence the information environment or change the way an adversary think. “At our level, the most important thing we can do is to be able to expose what an adversary is doing that we consider to be malign activity, in a way that allows that to be put in […]

Authorities in Broward County, Florida have passed a coronavirus emergency order which includes text suggesting all residents are mandated to wear face masks inside their own homes. County Administrator Bertha Henry issued Emergency Order 20-22, which imposes a curfew from 11pm to 5am while also banning all gatherings of 10 or more people. However, the text of the order also appears to mandate “facial covering requirements” of people inside their own private property. Section 4A of the emergency order states the following; “All persons who reside on any residential property, whether single family or multi-family, and irrespective of whether they own […]

I have received emails from several concerned VT readers asking who Austin Steinbart is and why is he promoting the QAnon conspiracy theory. Therefore, I think it is a worthwhile endeavour to explain QAnon, why it exists, what is it’s intended purpose and why scumbags like Steinbart are promoting it. To understand why QAnon exists, we need to go back to 2015, the Trump-Clinton race for the White House and the disinfo shitstorm that engulfed that election campaign. Probably the most obvious, most blatant fabrication was Pizzagate, some lunacy about Hilary Clinton running an underground pedophile ring from beneath a DC […]
The Trump administration plans to send federal forces to violence-torn cities across the nation to help quell riots and surging crime, regardless of whether Democrat mayors and governors welcome Washington’s involvement. “I’m going to do something, that I can tell you,” President Donald Trump said Monday in the Oval Office. “We’re not going to let New York and Chicago, and Philadelphia and Detroit and Baltimore and all of these – Oakland is a mess – we’re not going to let this happen in our country. All run by liberal Democrats.” The move comes as US House Democrats demand inspectors general investigate […]
(Natural News) Richardson International, the largest agribusiness company in Canada, has announced that it will no longer be accepting any oat crops from companies that spray their pre-harvest crops with glyphosate as a desiccant. Starting in January 2021, Richardson will be tightly regulating which oats it accepts to ensure that tainted oats, like the kind used in Cheerios, are not processed at its facilities. The Winnipeg-based company is currently a worldwide handler and merchandiser of all major Canadian-grown grains and oilseeds, including oats. It is vertically-integrated and handles a bulk of the oats and canola-based products grown in Canada. North America […]

The Apple Bistro – located in Placerville, about 40 miles northeast of Sacramento – has unfathomably been turning away customers who are following the state mandate for wearing face coverings while out in public spaces to slow the spread of COVID-19, local outlet KABC-TV reported. The restaurant is facing numerous complaints after customers stated that the staff refused to serve anyone wearing a mask, according to […]
The U.S. Navy has announced on Monday that it has returned a broken E/A-18G Growler carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft back to the fleet. “Originally this aircraft suffered a hot air leak in its engine bay that resulted in damage to the side of the aircraft,” said F/A-18 Class Desk Inventory Manager Bob Alley, who retired in 2009 as a Master Chief Avionics Technician. The E/A-18G Growler departed Naval Station Norfolk in July, returning to its home at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, newly assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129. The repaired E/A-18G Growler had 607 hours on its airframe. An […]
The crackdown by federal law enforcement in some American cities is on the verge of going national, according to knowledgeable Trump administration sources. As previewed by White House chief of staff Mark Meadows over the weekend and President Donald Trump on Monday, the administration intends to send federal law enforcement into Democratic-run cities—whether those cities want federal police help or not. Multiple sources expected Chicago, a flashpoint of white anxiety, to be a focus, as the Chicago Tribune first reported. The Department of Homeland Security is taking the lead in Portland, where federal agents are assaulting unarmed and largely peaceful protesters. […]

In what seems like perpetual “protests” that turn into riots, the antifa terrorists in Portland Sunday night tore down the large fence barricade that was erected around the Hatfield federal courthouse, then used parts of it to barricade the walls and doors to trap people inside, while at the same time setting a fire on the steps. Around 40,000 expatriates currently stranded outside of Kuwait are unable to renew their residency permits and won’t be allowed to return without a valid visa, reports the Kuwait Times. Most are stuck abroad due to the restrictive measures amid the coronavirus pandemic. Kuwait’s Residency Affairs Director, Hamad Rashed Al-Tawala, said: “They will be unable to return to the country unless they have new visas.” Adding, the country is preparing a law that would amend residency renewal fees and other types of visas. The government has extended the validity of all visas for those currently in the Gulf state to 31 August, with […]
That decision prompted House Democrats to launch an impeachment inquiry into whether President Donald Trump leveraged the aid for political favors. But Vought has maintained that the Ukraine aid freeze was part of a broader foreign aid review, not a quid pro quo. Vought first took the helm of the White House budget office during the 35-day government shutdown in January 2019, after Trump tapped former OMB Director Mick Mulvaney as his acting chief of staff. Senate Budget Chairman Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.) lauded Vought’s confirmation in a statement, adding that his “role will be crucial to help the federal government function […]
President Donald Trump on Monday said he would resume coronavirus press briefings to address the flare-ups of coronavirus cases across the country. “We have had this big flare-up in Florida, Texas, a couple of other places,” Trump said but noted that the pandemic was “flaring up all over the place” in different parts of the world. Trump spoke to reporters after meeting with congressional Republican leaders to discuss government assistance for the struggle against the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The president said he would likely do a briefing at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, a time slot he previously used at the height […]
WASHINGTON ― No funding would be available for live nuclear weapons testing under an amendment the House adopted to its version of the annual defense policy bill. The amendment from Rep. Ben McAdams, D-Utah, was adopted, 227-179, in a mostly party-line vote. The House is expected Tuesday to vote to pass the 2021 National Defense Authorization Act. The amendment’s adoption will likely make it harder for House Republicans to vote for the House’s FY21 NDAA, and it likely sets up a fight with the Republican-controlled SASC when leaders of both panels reconcile their versions of the bill. The FY21NDAA was voted […]
Authored by Tsvetana Paraskova via OilPrice.com, On the day on which Dominion Energy and Duke Energy canceled the Atlantic Coast natural gas pipeline, Dominion Energy said it would be selling substantially all of its gas transmission and storage assets to an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway. For Dominion Energy, the nearly US$10-billion deal, including debt assumption, is part of the company’s push to zero-carbon electric generation by 2050. For Warren Buffett’s conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway, it was the first major acquisition since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, and the biggest acquisition in four years. Syrian air defences on Monday intercepted what they claim is a new Israeli “aggression” above the capital Damascus, in the latest wave of attacks that Western intelligence sources have said were Israeli strikes on Iranian-backed targets in Syria. Reuters quoted Syrian state television said Israeli missiles had flown over the Syrian Golan Heights where they conducted raids around the capital and live footage showed blasts across the skies of the capital. The bases in eastern, central and southern Syria which Israel had hit in recent months are believed to have a strong presence of Iranian-backed militias, according to intelligence sources and […]
The letter noted reports of DHS officers seizing protesters off the streets in Portland without explanation. The city has had five weeks of protests, its mayor told NPR on July 19. The protests included a “small handful of people who were engaged in criminal activity,” he said, but appeared to be subsiding until federal officers intervened. The mayor, Ted Wheeler, said their presence made the situation worse. The letter asks DHS for a host of new documents, including all DHS personnel communications about the deployment of officers to Portland. They also asked for documents on training DHS personnel received and on […]

WASHINGTON — After a year of speculation about what would happen to Turkey’s F-35s after the country was ousted from the joint strike fighter program last year, the Defense Department gave its definitive answer Monday evening in a characteristically anticlimactic manner — through its daily contract announcements. The U.S. Air Force will officially buy eight F-35A conventional takeoff and landing jets originally built by Lockheed Martin for Turkey as part of a $862 million contract modification than also contains an additional six F-35As built for the Air Force and modifications that will bring the Turkish jets in line with the U.S. […]

AccuWeather shows temperatures across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Rust Belt are registering between 90F and 100F. Older Children Spread the Coronavirus Just as Much as Adults, Large Study Finds by Apoorva Mandavilli/The New York Times In the heated debate over reopening schools, one burning question has been whether and how efficiently children can spread the virus to others. A large new study from South Korea offers an answer: Children younger than 10 transmit to others much less often than adults do, but the risk is not zero. And those between the ages of 10 and 19 can spread the virus at least as well as adults do. The findings suggest that as schools reopen, communities will see clusters of […]
A probe into former VP Joe Biden’s dealings in Ukraine is reportedly the ‘foreign interference’ in US elections that prompted Democrats to demand an urgent defensive briefing from the FBI for all members of Congress. “We are gravely concerned, in particular, that Congress appears to be the target of a concerted foreign interference campaign, which seeks to launder and amplify disinformation in order to influence congressional activity, public debate, and the presidential election in November,” says a letter by four Democrats on the congressional ‘Gang of Eight’ that deals with intelligence matters. The letter was dated July 13, but was made […]

The U.S. Army has deployed Abrams main battle tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles to Poland as part of the final phase of training linked to massive military drills called the DEFENDER-Europe 20. The exercise is taking place at Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area, Poland, with approximately 6,000 U.S. and Polish Soldiers. According to a recent service news release, DEFENDER-Europe 20 was designed as a deployment exercise to build strategic readiness in support of the U.S. National Defense Strategy and NATO deterrence objectives. But Russian military officials and politicks says there’s reason to be concerned about the large-scale U.S. exercises being conducted in […]

The plans, marked for internal use only, feature digital renderings of convention attendees seated at distant tables and separated by see-through partitions, a “Convention Across America” speaking lineup that is both dramatically shorter in length and vastly more ambitious in scale, and a program that emphasizes […]

Mosaics depicting Christian figures in Istanbul’s ancient Hagia Sophia will be covered with curtains during Muslim prayers, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said on Sunday, as work to prepare the building for use as a mosque continues, reported Reuters. Authorities had said last week that the mosaics would be concealed with either curtains or lasers when the first prayers are held next Friday. In a move that sparked international criticism and concern, President Tayyip Erdogan declared Hagia Sophia open to Muslim worship earlier this month following a court ruling that said the building’s conversion to a museum in 1934 was unlawful. Hagia Sophia dates back to […]
Cases of the Chinese coronavirus continue to rise in Florida, increasing thousands by the day and topping 360,000 cumulative cases on Monday. However, a closer look at the data shows that hospital capacity statewide has remained relatively steady over the last two weeks, despite the addition of 150,000-plus confirmed cases since early July. Florida reported 12,478 cases on Sunday, pushing the state’s total past 350,000. On Monday, the state reported 10,347 additional cases, bringing the cumulative total to 360,394. The news coincides with reports of hospitals running out of ICU beds, specifically in South Florida counties, such as Miami-Dade and Broward, which […]
ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. — The U.S. Army is moving forward on a number of projects to bolster its tactical network, thanks to a new pool of money dedicated to prototyping and maturing emerging technology. Additions to the Army’s tactical network will come every two years as part of modernization efforts called capability sets. Previously, prototypes of emerging technology would fall into the “valley of death,” where technology projects that didn’t have enough funding to transition into programs of record would die, said Maj. Gen. Peter Gallagher, director of the Army’s Network Cross-Functional Team. The CFT received nearly $30 million to support […]

Egypt’s parliament on Monday approved the deployment of armed forces abroad to fight “criminal militias” and “foreign terrorist groups” on a “western front”, after President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi said Cairo could intervene in Libya, reported Reuters. The Egyptian parliament said in a statement that the troops would be defending national security, without giving further details or naming Libya directly. The decision came after Sisi said last week that Egypt would not stand idle if there was threat to national security in Egypt and its western neighbour, Libya, if parliament gave its approval. Shortly beforehand the Egyptian presidency said Sisi had agreed with US President Donald Trump to maintain a ceasefire in Libya […]

Dissociated Press California Governor Gavin Noisome has ordered a statewide mandatory blindfolding policy to help slow the spread of coronavirus. Noisome’s Executive Odor 666-666 requires all citizens to wear blindfolds as well as masks whenever they leave their homes, and revokes all health and religious exemptions from masking and blindfolding. “Studies show that when you blink, your eyelashes scatter tiny droplets of moisture into the atmosphere, potentially contributing to the spread of COVID-19,” Noisome explained at this morning’s press conference. “The best way to stop these moisture droplets is at the source, by wearing a cloth blindfold over your eyes. The bible of writing rules for news organizations across the Western world – the Associated Press Stylebook – has made its ruling on uneven treatment of skin colors, and it turns out it might be in favor of the practice after all. One month after changing its style guide to require capitalization of the word “black” when referring to black people, the Associated Press wire service said it won’t do the same for the word “white.” “White people in general have much less shared history and culture, and don’t have the experience of being discriminated against because of skin color,” the […]

Rashida Tlaib is fighting for her political future in a bitter rematch in this year’s Democratic primary elections. The Representative from Michigan’s 13th congressional district, who is of Palestinian heritage, is thought to be the most at risk of losing her seat from the member of the so-called “squad”; a diverse group of progressive Democratic women who were elected to the House in 2018, that includes Ilhan Omar. In a repeat of 2018 primary election, Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones, will seek to unseat Tlaib in a primary election that’s expected to go to the wire. Two years ago Tlaib defeated Jones […]

Planets form from gas and dust particles swirling around baby stars in enormous spinning disks. But because this process takes millions of years, scientists can only learn about these disks by finding and studying a lot of different examples. Through a project called Disk Detective, you can help. Anyone, regardless of background or prior knowledge, can assist scientists in figuring out the mysteries of planet formation. Disk Detective is an example of citizen science, a collaboration between professional scientists and members of the public. “We’re trying to understand how long it takes for planets to form,” said astrophysicist Marc Kuchner, the […]
Several days ago we reported about a Florida man in his 20’s who had died from a motorcycle accident, but was subsequently placed on the state’s Covid-19 death list despite his (rather obvious) non-Covid related cause of death. This past weekend, after scrutiny from several news outlets including Florida’s Fox 35, who broke the story, the death “was reviewed and he was taken off the list for COVID fatalities.” The decision to take the death off the list comes just two days after Fox 35’s initial report. Fox 35 did an investigation last week where they talked to Orange County Health Officer Dr. Raul Pino about […]

Syrian air defenses have engaged incoming “hostile targets” in the capital city of Damascus, state media reported. Footage circulating online shows explosions in the skies above the city. Damascus came under an apparent missile strike late on Monday. Sirens were heard across the city, while air defense systems intercepted incoming projectiles. The missiles flew from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights region, Syrian state media reported, pinning the blame for the attack on Tel Aviv. Several videos from the scene show projectiles streaking through the sky. Footage suggests that the Syrian military scored at least one hit on the targets. No information on […]
(Natural News) All day every day, the mainstream media continues to hammer home fear about the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), which supposedly is “spiking” all around the country. But according to new evidence, there are so many false positives being “mistakenly” reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by health officials that nobody can really say for sure what is actually true. What we do know, at the very least, is that the number of new cases is drastically overinflated, not to mention that nobody in any position of authority can clarify what a “case” actually entails. Only 30% of Ethereum Classic’s nodes will support future network hard forks after a major client walked away from the project last week. OpenEthereum has voted to stop supporting its Ethereum Classic client to focus attention on other projects. In addition, it has concerns about that blockchain’s immutability, according to a GitHub vote Thursday. It’s also well known that client Multi-Geth will not support future network updates either for similar reasons. What this means is, of the 615 current Ethereum Classic nodes listed by ETC Nodes, 425 won’t update in the future as developers make changes via hard forks. That leaves […]

The FBI acknowledged receiving the letter, but the bureau declined to comment further. In their letter, the Democratic leaders demanded the briefing “prior to the August recess at the earliest possible opportunity” — and they want a schedule in […]
A report published by the New York Times (NYT) on Sunday revealed that forced labor from the Uyghur concentration camps of Xinjiang province is part of the production chain for at least 17 Chinese companies that produce medical masks and other protective equipment. Some of those masks are reportedly exported to other countries by companies based outside of Xinjiang province. The NYT noted that, based on Chinese government agencies, there were only four companies producing medical-grade equipment in Xinjiang before the coronavirus pandemic, but there are at least 51 of them now, and 17 of them participate in a program that […]
Authored by James Rickards via The Daily Reckoning, Remember “green shoots?” That was the ubiquitous phrase used by White House officials and TV talking heads in 2009 to describe how the U.S. economy was coming back to life after the 2008 global financial crisis. The problem was we did not get green shoots, we got brown weeds. The economy did recover but it was the slowest recovery in U.S. history. After the green shoots theory had been discredited, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner promised a “recovery summer” in 2010. That didn’t happen either. The recovery did continue, but it took years for […]
An international team of scientists recently released the largest three-dimensional map ever created of the universe, the result of years’ worth of examinations that helped to offer a clearer understanding of the cosmos over an 11-billion-year period. The map, which was more than 20 years in the making, was the result of observations collected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and analyzed by more than 100 astrophysicists part of the extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (eBOSS) team. The work carried out by eBOSS astrophysicists specifically examines the universe from a time when it was about 300,000 years old, pinpointing on […]
Saudi Twitter users have sent thousands of tweets accusing the kingdom’s former crown prince and his long-time aide of corruption, in what two Saudi sources said was a campaign to discredit him ahead of a possible indictment, as Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman moves to sideline rivals to the throne, reports Reuters. The tweets against Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, who was ousted and replaced as heir to the throne by the crown prince in a palace coup in 2017, began on Friday and also targeted his aide, ex-intelligence official Saad al-Jabri. The Twitter storm comes as King Salman, 84, was admitted […]
The negotiations kicked off Monday as lawmakers returned to Washington after a two-week recess that saw massive spikes in coronavirus cases in many states, as the U.S. continues to struggle to stem the spread of deadly virus. Trump administration officials have also floated new spending caps for next year’s budget, as well as seeking funding for other non-coronavirus related projects, such as $250 million for FBI renovations, said GOP lawmakers and aides. But Trump’s insistence on the payroll tax cut in particular is putting Republicans in a bind ahead of the negotiations, and it remains a non-starter for Democrats. Following a […]
A style guide released by the Trans Journalists Association advises journalists to avoid common phrases such as “biological gender” or “opposite sex” in the name of inclusivity, urges them to generally avoid “narratives of detransition,” and encourages them to describe critical feminists as “transphobic” and “anti-trans.” The style guide, signed by the likes of “queer genderqueer spiritual activist” and “radical copyeditor” Alex Kapitan and St. Louis Public Radio reporter and Trans Journalists Association founder member Kae Petrin, contends that “too much” of the media coverage on trans people and issues have failed both audiences and trans communities. “The media bears a great responsibility […]
President Trump hinted Monday that he may authorize federal officials to carry out mass arrests of Antifa terrorists in blue cities across America. During a White House briefing, Trump said he’ll likely expand the federal response to Antifa and Black Lives Matter violence from Portland to many other cities plagued with left-wing violence like New York, Chicago, Baltimore, Oakland, and others. “We’re not going to let this happen in our country. We’re going to have more federal law enforcement, that I can tell you,” Trump told reporters. “In Portland, they did a fantastic job, they’ve been there three days, and they […]
The European summit which started on Friday and continued into Monday, where top politicians were meant to agree on the composition of Europe’s recovery fund (originally proposed at €500BN in grants and €250BN in loans), was painfully, excruciatingly long, even by European standards, but it appears to have finally concluded, and following some rather heated and angry comments – mostly aimed at the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte who has emerged as Europe’s new paymaster now that Merkel has succumbed to MMT – we finally have a deal. So what’s in it? As we previewed yesterday, instead of the €500BN in […]

Somehow, I highly doubt it. So naturally, it was disappointing when summer vacation plans were cancelled. Obviously, we […]

A Saudi writer recently released from prison has died shortly after contracting COVID-19. Saleh Al-Shehi was a prominent Saudi columnist reporting on corruption in Saudi Arabia and worked under the late Jamal Khashoggi when he was editor of Al-Watan. Al-Shehi was imprisoned in January 2018 for “insulting the royal court” after he criticised the so-called corruption drive in Saudi on the TV show Yahalla. In November 2017 top officials and businessmen were detained in the five-star Ritz-Carlton hotel in Riyadh until they struck financial deals with authorities. Al-Shehi was also critical of the kingdom’s labour and economics policy. After his release from prison in May, Al-Shehi was put on a ventilator […]

The island of Little Saint James that Jeffrey Epstein bought for almost $8 million in 1998 is where the billionaire’s alleged victims claim they were abused by him and his powerful friends. Prince Andrew was one of Epstein’s high-profile friends who visited the island, but the royal has claimed he didn’t see any wrongdoing on the part of Epstein. A 2015 video has reappeared online showing Donald Trump commenting on financier Jeffrey Epstein and his private island. The short footage, which was uploaded to social media several days ago, shows then-presidential candidate Trump answering questions from Bloomberg reporters, saying: “That island […]
The possibly temporary postponement of Israel’s annexation of swathes of the occupied West Bank and Jordan Valley arose out of disagreements from within the Zionist state itself as well as other voices warning of the consequences of such a move. The fear is that Israel will be portrayed even more strongly as an apartheid state, recreating the disgraceful, disgraced and dismantled South African apartheid system. Indeed, that annexation will be seen as the return of apartheid, Israeli style. Such accusations have been in the public domain since the 1970s, especially in Europe and North America. Israel, it has been said and […]

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Navy has taken delivery of the first AN/SPY-6 radar array for the Flight III Arleigh Burke-class destroyer Jack Lucas, which was designed and built specifically to accommodate the upgraded air and missile defense radar. The Raytheon-built system is about 30 times more sensitive than the SPY-1 arrays on the Navy’s cruisers and destroyers, but it requires much more power. That led to a significant redesign of the Flight IIA DDG. Jack Lucas, being built at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi, is the first of the new builds. The ship is scheduled to be delivered in 2024, according […]
