Alex Jones / Joe Rogan Interview Temporarily Unavailable on Spotify – NewsWars

Alex Jones’ recent interview with podcast host Joe Rogan was inexplicably removed momentarily from Spotify, multiple users reported.

On Wednesday evening, users began noting Rogan’s recent interview with the Infowars host, Episode #1555, was no longer available on the streaming platform.

Within an hour, some users noted they could again view the podcast.

Rogan himself commented on the episode’s removal, which he attributed to a technical glitch, via an Instagram post:

“The conspiracy about the show with the conspiracy theorist… The episode that was uploaded to Spotify had some cache issues, and it wasn’t working correctly on some devices so the engineers had Jamie re-upload it with the same date, thinking it would fix the problem but still play for everyone like it was never missing. Didn’t quite work out perfect, which led to my phone getting hit up by people thinking it was removed. It works for me now, but some folks are still having trouble seeing it. They’re working on it. It IS however fucking classic and amazing that this glitch only shows up in the Alex Jones episode.”

The episode’s temporary removal followed a huge outcry from the left, angry at the topics discussed on the podcast.

More from Mediaite:

The development comes after the InfoWars founder joined Rogan on Tuesday to talk about issues including Ghislaine Maxwell, QAnon, the allegations about Hunter Biden. But Jones and Rogan also shared numerous conspiracy theories on vaccines and, at one point, Rogan pulled up an article on a WHO polio vaccine program to misrepresent the effects, claiming that children who received the vaccine ended up getting the disease.

According to an internal email obtained by Buzzfeed, Spotify staff seemed determined to keep Jones’ podcast on air.

“We are not going to ban specific individuals from being guests on other people’s shows, as the episode/show complies with our content policies,” stated the email from chief legal officer and head of global affairs, Horacio Gutierrez.

On Wednesday night, Spotify’s apparent change of heart came as a shock to users, as Orwellian censorship by Big Tech social media companies was a topic discussed on the podcast in regards to Twitter’s recent censorship of the New York Post.
