Health Editor’s Note: Email evidence that Paul Alexander, senior advisor to HHS’s assistant secretary for public affairs, Michael Caputo, instructed press officers and others at the NIH about what Fauci should say during media interviews with the science journal Cell, Bloomberg News, Huff Post, and Buzzfeed has surfaced.
Emails have continued up to this week and show that Trump appointees in HHS, the White House, are pushing for health agencies to promote a political message instead of the real, scientific one.
