Potential Sign of Alien Life on Venus

Health Editor’s Note: Phosphine has been detected in the acidic clouds of Venus. On earth phosphone is produced by bacteria which live in environments with little to no oxygen. The James Clerk Maxwell Telescope in Hawaii has confirmed the presence of phosphine by using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) radio telescope located in Chili.

Phosphine is an atom with three hydrogen atoms attached and is toxic for humans. Humans have been looking for signs of life beyond earth for a long time. Venus has an atmosphere that has oxygen compounds which should not be inviting for phosphine to exist

Venus should be hostile to phosphine. Its surface and atmosphere are rich in oxygen compounds that would rapidly react with and destroy phosphine. Phosphine is being created and just as quickly destroyed….why?…..Carol
