This week, US President Donald Trump had some difficulty pronouncing “Yosemite” while reading a speech regarding the iconic national park, making it sound more like he was addressing people of Jewish heritage.
On Tuesday, Trump went viral for all the wrong reasons after mispronouncing the name of one of America’s most famous national parks at a ceremony touting his signature on a major piece of conservation legislation.
During his speech about Yosemite National Park, located in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains, Trump dropped the ball while speaking about the giant sequoia trees in Yosemite and planting more of them, pronouncing the park’s name incorrectly as “yo-Semite.”
Looks like this is yet another gem to add the list of words he’s been having a difficult time with. He recently also put an interesting twist on the word “plasma,” among other things.
