Radical Changes Proposed in New System of Recruitment for Indian Army, Navy & Air Force

Recruitment to India’s armed forces was frozen in 2020 as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government focused on modernising and reforming the country’s military. Among the several reforms that have been proposed is to reduce the wage and pension costs, which account for nearly 50 percent of the nation’s annual defence budget.
