Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) hit back at Twitter Tuesday morning following a 12-hour suspension of her account for allegedly spreading so-called Covid misinformation.
In a post slamming the tech giant following her suspension, Greene compared the company to “Communist China,” claiming they violated her “freedom of speech.”
“American social media company Twitter banned me for 12 hrs, censoring me, & violating my freedom of speech,” Greene wrote in her first tweet after coming back from suspension.
“You know who else silences, censors, and bans people they don’t like and want heard. Communist China. Communism is not good @Twitter. Save America Stop Communism!”
On Monday, Greene’s account was suspended after posts of hers were flagged for supposedly violating terms of service related to “Covid-19 misleading information.”
In a statement to MRC, a Twitter rep explained, “[W]e took enforcement action on the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for violations of the Twitter Rules, specifically the COVID-19 misleading information policy (Tweets here and here).”
Greene’s supposedly offensive tweets called for people to have the right to refuse the vaccine if they choose, instead of a national compulsory mandate.
Greene’s suspension comes as the White House has re-doubled their propaganda efforts in attempts to get more Covid jabs into the arms of Americans, going as far as to scold Facebook for not censoring enough anti-vaccine content quick enough.
The White House along with the US Surgeon General has also announced it will begin flagging problematic posts for Facebook to review in an anti-free speech crackdown that even George Orwell could not have predicted.
“They’re killing people,” Biden blurted out last week, adding, “The only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated, and they’re killing people.”
(Biden later had to walk back the idiotic remark and admit “Facebook isn’t killing people.”)
Last week, an Infowars author also sustained a 7-day suspension by Twitter for supposed “Covid-19 misinformation” after exposing the story of a mom hired on at John Hopkins Hospital who died shortly after taking a work-mandated vaccination.
