Above Photo: Shutterstock. After half a century studying the issue, here’s lesson number one: Wars are bad and empire is folly. For over 50 years I have been writing about foreign policy — mostly America’s, but those of other nations as well. I think I have a pretty good grasp of places like Turkey, China, India, Russia, and the European Union. I regret that I am less than sure-footed in Africa and Latin America. During this time I have also learned a fair amount about military matters and various weapons systems, because they cost enormous amounts of money that could be […]

We are now 20 days from the 2020 presidential election, and, thanks in large part to his historical mishandling of the novel coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed 215,000 American lives and counting, President Donald Trump is trailing his Democratic opponent Joe Biden in the polls. One other reason is that the media—in particular the cable-news media—has learned some valuable lessons from the way they covered candidate Trump versus Hillary Clinton in 2016. A new documentary, Enemies of the People, dropping on YouTube this afternoon and airing Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on VICE TV, examines the role the media played in tipping […]
Two Daily Caller journalists, as well as other reporters, sustained injuries from police officers while covering protests in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and were detained for breaking curfew, despite identifying themselves as press. In video footage from the incident, Daily Caller Chief Video Director Richie McGinnis is filming an arrest being made by officers when he is asked to show his press badge, which he does. He is then told to leave the area, an order he complies with. “Don’t let me catch you!” an officer yells as the journalist is walking away. “I’m out,” McGinnis says, making his way to a car […]

In early July, the Walt Disney Company reopened parts of two amusement parks: Disney World near Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The former reopened to house the tightly controlled 13-week experiment known as the NBA Bubble, in which staff, players, coaches, and personnel adhered to strict social distancing guidelines and isolation requirements, paired with regular on-site testing. The latter welcomed back its workers with less grandeur, opening up a sprawling outdoor shopping district called Downtown Disney, with a select staff of several hundred. Though they reopened within days of each other, the two parks worked with wildly different resources. […]
The grandmother of the two year old boy in the viral photograph of Black Lives Matter supporters kneeling on his neck tells the Gateway Pundit that zero national news outlets have reached out to the family. In the photo, a man named Isaiah Jackson is seen kneeling on the neck of his girlfriend’s two year old son as another person holds down the diaper-clad baby’s feet. The photo was captioned with “Blm now mf.” Not even Fox News has bothered to contact them to cover this story and local media is blurring the face of the man and refusing to publish his name […]

In a hilarious video which has emerged on social media, a mischievous monkey was spotted wrapping a cloth around its face as if it were a mask. A group of monkeys were loitering on a sidewalk when one of them discovered a rag lying on the road. Next, the monkey swung it […]
The resentment for America at CNN was on full display during Independence Day weekend, particularly as a CNN pundit referred to the Founding Fathers as just a couple of slave owners. During the network’s coverage of President Donald Trump’s speech at Mt. Rushmore, Leyla Santiago said that “President Trump will be at Mount Rushmore, where he’ll be standing in front of a monument of two slave owners and on land wrestled away from Native Americans.” CNN: “President Trump will be at Mount Rushmore, where he’ll be standing in front of a monument of two slave owners and on land wrestled away […]
