Suggests the U.S. End Its the Proxy War on Russia. The New York Times has a job to do – and it has done that job spectacularly well over the past few months. The Times is a leader, in the opinion of this writer, the leader in spelling out the US narrative on the war in Ukraine, a tale designed to keep up morale, give the war a high moral purpose and justify the untold billions pouring from the taxpayers’ pockets into Joe Biden’s proxy war on Russia. Day in and day out in page after page of word and picture […]

But don’t expect any self-reflection from the cheerleaders. The recent rush of news reports about Balkan, Middle East and East European states scrambling to reestablish ties with Damascus would appear to signal the effective collapse of the decade-long Western policy of war, sanctions and isolation to end the rule of Bashar al-Assad’s Baath regime in Syria. On Jan. 1, 2014, I stood on the steps of City Hall in the biting cold to hear the city’s newest mayor deliver his inaugural address. I was convinced that we finally had a mayor who would understand the importance of championing equity and justice for all. My knees shook and my teeth chattered uncontrollably in the wintery New York air as I stood in line to meet […]

Last night, we learned that U.S. President Donald Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump have COVID-19. If true and he has COVID-19, then this completes his circle of failure. He knew it was serious in January. He called it HOAX. He played games with it. He had no plan and failed to lead as over 200,000 died leading the worst response to this PANDEMIC worldwide by any country! FAILURE! If this is an elaborate HOAX to get out of being responsible or to gain sympathy, then, by definition, this is an abject failure and the ultimate act of irresponsibility. FAILURE! […]
A large ‘tsunami’ of trash has hit a beach in the town of Omoa in northern Honduras. The garbage traveled from neighboring Guatemala, where anti-waste barriers were damaged by heavy rain. Footage from the scene shows thick layers of plastic bottles and other waste carried by the waves and piled up on a sandy beach next to wooden shacks and palm trees. Local official Daniel Ortega said that between 100 and 150 tons of garbage was cleaned from the beach. Environmentalists have been sounding the alarm as large quantities of trash regularly wash ashore in Honduras, including in places like Omoa […]
Hot on the heels of a coronavirus scare, Julian Assange’s extradition hearing was postponed on Monday following a farcical videolink failure which meant the court could not hear the testimony of a prominent witness. The court was hearing from witness Eric Lewis, an experienced US lawyer, when out of the blue it was interrupted by a Fox News video about WikiLeaks. The source of the unexpected interruption was never revealed and the court went into recess in a bid to resolve the technical difficulties. Lewis was expected to give evidence that Assange would face a “flagrant denial of justice” if put […]
Fox host Tucker Carlson kicked off an angry backlash after saying authorities were to blame for days of violent unrest in Wisconsin, which critics took as a defense of the vigilante gunman who shot two people dead on Tuesday. Carlson’s segment on the ongoing protests and rioting in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Wednesday night largely took aim at state and local officials, arguing that those in positions of power were to blame for a spike in violence after leaving city residents to cope with the unrest on their own. “Kenosha has devolved into anarchy because the authorities in charge of the city […]
On Friday, The US Department of Justice confirmed a Thursday report by The Wall Street Journal, that US authorities had “successfully” disrupted a “multi-million dollar fuel shipment” by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), after seizing four oil tankers in international waters carrying alleged Iranian gasoline bound for Venezuela. Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, on Saturday refuted allegations by the Trump administration about a US seizure of four Iranian oil tankers with fuel bound for Venezuela, saying that the vessels involved in what he described as an act of “piracy” were not Iran-flagged and the fuel on board belonged to […]
New Delhi (Sputnik): Delhi has 350,000 students studying at schools under the BJP-ruled North Delhi Municipal Corporation – a civic body. Founded in 2004, the private US aerospace company has put 53 spacecraft into low-Earth orbit and most of its missions have been successful. Saturday’s launch was initially scheduled for 5 July, however, due to a bad weather forecast, the company moved it one day earlier, a rare occurrence in the space industry. The CEO of Rocket Lab, Peter Beck, promised to “leave no stone unturned” after the company’s Electron rocket experienced an anomaly during its latest mission and was lost after launch. “To our customers: we are deeply sorry for the loss of those payloads. Several civil rights groups, including the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), have urged corporations to boycott advertising on Facebook in July because they believe the platform has failed to address hate speech. The boycott campaign, dubbed “#StopHateForProfit,” calls on Facebook advertisers to show that they will not support a company that has not “meaningfully” addressed the “vast proliferation of hate on its platforms.” “The campaign is a response to Facebook’s long history of allowing racist, violent and verifiably false content to run rampant on its platform. The campaign will organize corporate and […]
India is currently ruled by a far-right extreme Nationalist party known as the BJP. The BJP, like all Hindu Nationalist groups, have been closely allied to the Zionist International since the 1920s, finding common cause in their respective struggles to overthrow British Imperial hegemony. Binyamin Netanyahu welcomed Narendra Modi to Israel in 2017 with these words: “Prime Minister Modi, we have been waiting for you for a long time, almost 70 years … We view you as a kindred spirit.” The two premiers, both battling for re-election in spring 2019, share a warm rapport, and regularly refer to each other on […]

Two weeks ago, this column focused on Telegram’s litigation with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In that column, I argued Telegram’s TON and Kik’s kin strike me as not serving any functionality other than being a money substitute and an investment vehicle. Whether this is legally the case will depend on the outcome of the litigation. The SAFT structure used by Telegram to distribute its coins, “once regarded as compliance best practice in the cryptocurrency industry, will be greatly diminished in its usefulness in the U.S.” We learn this week, not from a court filing but a blog post, that […]
